Passengers must have a printed negative COVID-19 PCR or RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. Otherwise, they will be denied of entry. Most important, the test result must be in English.

Indonesia Quarantine Length

You will need to get COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival and quarantine for 5 or 14 days, especially with the spike in India cases recently, some will need to undergo 14 days quarantine.

On the positive side, Indonesia has one of the most relaxed quarantine requirements.

Booking Indonesia Quarantine Hotels

There is a comprehensive list of the Indonesian Quarantine Hotels produced by KEMLU summarised in a separate article.

You can either contact the contactperson in the list or book upon arrival. However, I believe the options are more limited upon arrival.

What to do after Arrival in Indonesia?

A completed “electronic health awareness card (e-HAC)” must be presented upon arrival. The card can be obtained before departure at https://inahac.kemkes.go.id/

In another case, download their app through here:

Quarantine Experience Summary

Given these points, Indonesia has one of the most relaxed quarantine experience in the world.

They do not really restrict you inside the room unlike in Singapore.
For instance, you can view my experience here:

Finally, 5 days will pass by very quickly, and in no time, you will be out of quarantine.
