How to earn KrisFlyer Miles extension without paying? There is no way we can freely fly Singapore Airlines during this COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, spending miles is also not an option.
Firstly, most countries still enforce border closures and strict quarantines regime. One of them, without a doubt, is Singapore.

Singapore enforces 21 days quarantine upon arrival from high-risk countries.
Fortunately, Singapore Airlines is extending expiring KrisFlyer miles from July 2021 – March 2022 in the newest round of extension.
Here is how much it costs to extend KrisFlyer Miles in the good times.

Stretching of expiring KrisFlyer Miles (from July 2021 – March 2022)
Singapore Airlines will extend KrisFlyer miles expiring between July 2021 and March 2022.
The extension will be in 6-months block. For example, KrisFlyer miles expiring on 31 July 2021 will first be extended to 31 January 2022, and then further extended to 31 July 2022 in February 2022.
Therefore, if you have miles expiring on 31 January 2022, the miles will have additional 6 months. Ultimately it will expire on 31 July 2022.
The table below will illustrate the rolling 6-months extension of KrisFlyer miles since April 2020.
The prolongation of KrisFlyer miles apply to miles expiring at the end of each month, including previously extended ones.

This means that all miles expiring between July 2021 and March 2022 will be extended and will only start to expire from April 2022.
Summary
Finally, with the world has not improved a single bit in terms of open travel, Singapore Airlines will definitely continue to suffer.
