Singapore Airlines First Class during COVID-19 Experience Luxury Review

Singapore Airlines First Class is finally back to the skies. This is Seat 1A review for Boeing 777-300ER flight from Frankfurt to Singapore (FRA – SIN) SQ325.

The aircraft has a simple 1-2-1 layout. Therefore, choosing a seat will not be much of an option here.

We have covered on how to book this flight on a steal on our article here.

First Class Check-in in Frankfurt

We arrived early at 6pm-ish, around 4 hours before departure time. By the time we arrived, the desks were already open.

Singapore Airlines normally opens its check-in desks at Frankfurt 3 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time.

To begin with, the check-in was in fact pretty quick. All those checks in effect are very easy and smooth. In order to have the best experience, make sure to have all your VTL documents ready before going to the check-in desk. In spite of reports on slow check-in, our experience was in fact a quick and pleasant one.

Singapore Airlines Lounge in Frankfurt

As soon as we finished our check-in, we wasted no time and went straight ahead to the lounge.

The lounge is in fact Lufthansa Senator Lounge.

Do note that no boarding calls are made. This is definitely a blessing with Lufthansa flights departing every five minutes at certain times of day, including this evening period prior to the SQ325 departure.

However, flight information screens are surely available in the lounge.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, mask wearing in the lounge was mandatory. This ia although many people removed their mask once seated, which was in common with the regional restrictions for dining in Frankfurt. Now that being in the surrounding region at the time, it’s quite understandable.

Once in awhile, we will try to opt for Beef Steak for the main course here. Given that steak on the sky is a hit and miss. We are definitely surprised with the quality here.

Conclusion

All in all, Singapore Airlines First Class product is definitely something that won’t disappoint you. You will experience luxury from end-to-end.

It was surely difficult to differentiate between pre-COVID and current service standards in First Class on Singapore Airlines.

This is specially with this VTL flight boasting a full range of dining, amenities and great service from the crew.

Mask-wearing is undeniably the new normal, even on VTL flights, for both the crew and the passengers.

However, I will look forward more to the A380 suites experience instead! The spacious room in the sky is definitely give you better bang for bucks.
