Going for Netherlands VTL trip? You will need a pre-departure COVID-19 test starting from 13th November 2021 if you are flying from Singapore.
Firstly, this is an updated guideline on the pre-departure test requirements by Netherlands.
The move comes after reclassification of Singapore from the country’s “low risk” to “very high risk” category. (You can surely refer to the update on the number of daily cases on the right sidebar on desktop)
Therefore, effective from 11th November 2021 at 00:01am, we will need to follow new guidance from the European Union (EU).

New Netherlands VTL Requirements from Singapore
For those taking non-stop services to Amsterdam from Changi, the first flights to be affected are:
- SQ324 departing at 23:55 on Saturday, 13th November 2021
- KL840 departing at 23:55 on Saturday, 13th November 2021
Additionally, all travellers from Singapore to the Netherlands will need the following.
- A PCR test conducted no more than 48 hours prior to departure; or
- An ART test conducted no more than 24 hours prior to departure.
For both of these flights, you’ll therefore need a negative PCR test result from a swab taken on or after 23:55 on Thursday 11th November 2021, or if you opt for a cheaper ART test, from a swab taken on or after 23:55 on Friday 12th November 2021.

All in all, even they are categorised under VTL countries, you will still need some kind of pre-departure test before boarding your flight.
