There is good news for the Singapore Border Update. Malaysia, Indonesia and other countries are now in Category 3. This is really a good news for Southeast Asia travellers to Singapore.
The easing of the border measure makes sense knowing these countries handled COVID-19 pretty well recently.

Singapore Category 3 New Countries 27 October 2021
Here are the countries moved to Category III. Traveller with 14-days history in these countries can apply for SHN at own accommodation. SHN at dedicated facilities will no longer be compulsory.

- Cambodia
- Egypt
- Hungary
- Indonesia
- Israel
- Mongolia
- Qatar
- Rwanda
- Samoa
- Seychelles
- South Africa
- Tonga
- United Arab Emirates (UAE)
- Vietnam
However, a thing to note here.
Action will be taken against those who breach their SHN requirements or make false declaration,

Singapore Category 4 Border Update
The countries below were previously unable to travel / transit to Singapore. From 27th October 2021, they can do so . However, they will be subject to 10 days SHN at dedicated facilities.

Fewer Tests for Travellers
They will no longer need to undergo on-arrival Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test.
However, they will only need an exit PCR test at the end of their stay-home notice.
Additionally, Antigen Rapid Test (ARTs) on the third and seventh days are also gone for good.
