Thailand joins Singapore VTL along with other countries namely Cambodia, Fiji, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Turkey starting from 14 December 2021.
Only Thailand’s Vaccinated Travel Lane starts from 14 December 2021 whereas the rest of the listed countries start from 16 December 2021.

Now we will focus on Thailand Vaccinated Travel Lane in Singapore.
Thailand reopened its borders to vaccinated travellers from more than 60 places, including Singapore, on Nov 1.
In fact, the move is such a timely one for Christmas Holidays. Without a doubt, we expect more people to quickly snap the flights to Thailand.
Requirements for Thailand Quarantine Free Travel
Moreover, here are the requirements to travel to Thailand from Singapore.
- Spend the last 21 days in Singapore and/or other eligible countries
- Be fully vaccinated with a recognised vaccine
- Possess or Purchase medical insurance with min. coverage of US$50K
- Present a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of flight to Thailand
- Make a reservation for 1 night in an SHA+ or AQ hotel (this is SHN equivalent of Singapore)
- Take a COVID-19 PCR test on arrival in Thailand and self-isolate until result is released with the above reservation
VTP Applications for Thailand VTL (for non Singapore Citizens / PR) will start from 7 December 2021, 10am Singapore Time (GMT+8).
Vaccination Certificate for VTL
As for the other VTLs, you will surely need full vaccine regime.
From Dec 7, Singapore will accept vaccination certificates issued in the European Union Digital COVID Certificate (EU DCC) format as valid proof for VTL travel, said CAAS.

Thailand relies heavily on tourism in particular. In the light of pandemic, the country lost heavily in the number of tourists. With this Thailand VTL, albeit the extra cost of PCR tests, more people will pick up interest in travelling again.
